Course Description

This course will cover the basic operation of the most common measuring instruments and inspection equipment found in today’s manufacturing quality labs.

Objectives & Outline

The student will learn the functions and capabilities of each instrument and how to take and record accurate measurement readings. Also covered will be proper care and calibration checks of each instrument.
Included instruments will be: Steel Rule, All types of Micrometers, Dial/Vernier Calipers, Gage Pins/Blocks, Dial Indicators, Dial/Vernier Hight gage, Digital/Dial Drop gage, Tool Makers Microscope, Optical Comparator, etc.
