Manufacturing Applied Technologies Pre-Apprenticeship
Learn Foundational Trade Skills
Our Registered Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship Program is designed for high school juniors or seniors considering an apprenticeship after graduation. This program provides an opportunity to explore high-demand STEM careers and learn foundational trade skills before graduation.
It includes hands-on sessions and an optional online credential program. Participants will receive a state-certified pre-apprentice certificate and Federal OSHA 10 certification upon completion. Then graduates will be ready to explore apprenticeships, jobs, and continuing education at colleges and technical schools.
The Pre-Apprenticeship Program offers multiple advantages:
- The Association handles all the program paperwork and acts as your sponsor for easy enrollment.
- Courses are employer-led, meaning the pre-apprentice curriculum is designed by regional businesses, and are taught by highly-skilled journeymen instructors.
- Participants can also earn college credits toward an Associate’s Degree.
- While primarily focused on apprentices, the programs are also open to the public.
We are committed to:
Developing skills and training for high school juniors and seniors
Providing instructional, technical, and basic skill training for apprentices
Delivering advanced skills and training far beyond on-the-job training
