Course Description

This course will provide students with a hands on training to familiarize them with various industrial sensor technologies, detection methods & applications.

Objectives & Outline

Course Objectives:
Differentiate sensor types and underlying technology. Also, identify the best sensor for a particular application then program the sensors to reliably and accurately detect the target object.
Course Outline:
• Proximity sensors
• Photoelectric sensors
• Thermocouples and RTD’s
• Vision sensors
• Fiberoptic sensors
• Temperature controllers
• Encoders
• Counters, Timers, and Tachometers

Prerequisite- Electricity 1 or a working knowledge of electricity or approval from our training team.
