PLC Programming Rockwell Studio 5000
Course Description
This course is designed to introduce students to basic programming of PLCs in ladder logic syntax.
This course will be taught on Allen Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix series processors.
The topics covered include data structures, program structures, flow of ladder logic, tags and aliasing, how to create and reference instructions, and downloading files to the PLC.
Objectives & Outline
At the conclusion of this course students should be able to do the following:
- Understand fundamentals of data and program structure
- Create tags and aliases in tag database as well as ladder
- Write latching circuit in ladder logic
- Utilize basic pre-defined instructions
